| The blushes swatched on my cheek ( my skin was not the best this particular week -ladies we've all been there.) , as you can see breathless literally blends into my skin and bashful and embraced is a bit too light. Irreplaceable and Whimsy are the two winners for Darker skin tones. |
I just love this time of year , with all of the super cute Holiday sets being released . I also feel like every year they're coming out earlier and earlier. Sheesh its not even November and there has been so much releases! Tarte never disappoints with a pleathora of sets from Brushes , to lip color sets to blush. The
Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette ( Sephora Exclusive / $42) is part of the uber fabulous Sweet Dreams Holiday Collection 2014 . This set of five colors ranging from pink to peachy hues to nude brows is lovely - yet majority of the colors are not suitable for Darker Skintones ( as pictured above). The minority of the collection that is flattering ( Whimsy and Irreplaceable) are really amazing on either paired with a contour powder or alone for a flush of color. This is a wonderful gift but just keep in mind the persons skin tone when purchasing , you would want the recipient to be able to use the whole palette , then again the other colors can be used as eye shadows, I'm sure they would be pretty on the lids paired with other colors.
