The EveryBody is Beautiful spread featured in the V Magazine earlier this month sparked so much press ( before it even hit the newsstands!!!!!!) with the celebration of fuller figured models. These images were everywhere you can imagine, the Internet, magazines, on every entertainment news show across the world. There was backlash , as well as praise, but one thing that was certain was that all bodies are not created equal, but they are beautiful nonetheless. This tour de force editorial was a collaboration by photographer Sølve Sundsbø and style powerhouse Nicola Formichetti , these images more than made its mark in Fashion History. It was like something out of a movie, not realistic - ( ironically it is real) , but not realistic to whats beautiful or as you say "Haute" in the Fashion world. This is yet another barrier that has been broken in regards to crashing the single minded views on what / who should be featured in Fashion . So many women felt a sense of empowerment, and even a little boost of confidence after seeing this editorial, which is always a good thing.
