Who says bohemian can't be flashy ?????

With Boho-Chic being the craze this past Spring, (actually honestly speaking - the Bohemian look has its own category and I don't think it is going anywhere- the true Bohemians will forever stay that way.), of course some of these accents would make its way into Fall Fashion. The tea dress (pictured ,above) , is making a comeback (last seen on the 2008 Spring runways - from Stella McCartney to Marc Jacobs) for a Bohemian essential for Fall. For those of you who may not be familiar with this style, it is simply described as : a feminine dress with empire waists and floaty bottoms that typically reach below the knee that you would wear to take tea. Mostly in small floral prints, or for the fashion adventurous- bigger florals like the dress shown. Why not take the tea dress up a notch , and pair it with not so Bohemian accessories??? A ton of jewels - bangles, bracelets, rings , chains and earrings.. not all at once of course pair on a lot but in moderation. A great platform shoe ( the usual choice would be a flat boot or wedge of some sort) , would be a great shoe choice- it is not what one would usually choose. Last but not least, in terms of your beauty regime - do not forget to wear some blush !!!

Spring is all about Boho Chic

What do you think of when Spring comes to mind?? Flowers!!! What does floral dresses say to you???? Bohemian Chic! With a huge cult following in Hollywood, the whole Bohemian style of dress has been a Spring staple for sometime now. Although floral prints also work well in fall and summer, it holds a special place dear to springs heart. Something about the not winter , but not yet summer weather that these floral print dresses work so well with. For colder spring days, dresses (like these pictured above) can be paired with suede fringed Minnetonka boots, or slouchy suede boots if you prefer. A nice layering with a denim jacket or knit long drape cardigan is also a nice touch. When the weather starts to heat up , loose the boots and incorporate flat gladiator sandals or a sandal with a leather weaved texture skip the denim jacket or cardigan and layer with a drape vest- which are another hot Spring item, or a suede vest - if you want to go Hardcore Boho - get one with long fringes. Hair more than anything - waves are standard , nothing too coiffed. Makeup of course should be bare and natural , Bohemians are not big on the glamour face. With these tips, you will successfully achieve Boho Chic for Spring!
