Tia Williams has done it again with Sixteen Candles the sequel to her novel it CHICKS . It's the perfect gift for your little sister, or for yourself if you want to re-live your High School years plus a few added touches of glitz and glamour - ( girls in my school definitely were not wearing the things some of these characters were wearing back in 2000 , when I was 16 !!!!! ).

I read the book and you are being a bit too kind! Yes it could be entertaining if you're 15-16 yrs old but there was a lot of discrepancies in it... 1st Skye's bf was introduced as 'Corey' then the next chapter it's 'Alex'? The author also made too many pop culture references that after awhile you asked yourself 'did that really happen in '05?' all in all I guess it could be a good gift to someone just not me!
I have to agree with go hard- I borrowed this crap from my friend that supports only black writers and I would like to know who gave homegirl a book deal. What I found annoying is that homegirl is calling a high school in New York P.S. (nobody does that here). And I have to agree with the overdoing of the pop reference, its annoying.
