Ruffian - Inspired Nails

At Ruffian's NYFW 2010 show, Angi Wingle created a lunar eclipse manicure with Inkwell topped with Super Matte and edged with a platinum metallic Gold Chrome (For the show, Angi actually used a metallic foil on the models nails) moon to match cosmic, ethereal makeup and hair. This was one of my most favorite looks from NYFW , its a marriage of Dark and edgy with Luxurious Chrome - two of my favorite nail looks. I love that it is easy to DIY at home.

Ruffian NYFW- Inspired Manicure
1. Paint two coats of Inkwell on nails.
2. Then, top the nails with Super Matte.
3. Last, create a Moon-Manicure edge on the nails with Gold Chrome.

Et Voila ! Ruffian - Inspired nails!!!

Suma C. Fall 2010 Collection

I was able to preview this lovely collection a few weeks back, and I fell in love.. These are some of my most favorite looks. This collection is perfect for the woman ages 18 to ageless , there is something for everyone. I love that the pieces are interchangeable, pieces can go from day to night. Suma C. is most definitely one of the new designers to watch ( getting accolades from Woman's Wear Daily as one of the "Top Designers To Watch This Season") , she is filling a void for Ready to Wear that's been vacant for a long time now. Clothing like this makes me look forward to fall, for more information on Suma C. check out www.sumaccollection.com

Nothing says Party like Fun Prints

When shopping for party dresses, we always want to find that one little number that makes us stand apart from the pack. I am one for loud colors, textures and prints ! Its not something I suggest to make a signature look ( but if that's what you want to do, then that's okay as well) - but why not buy a dress in a fun print for a party??? Whether its animal prints ( I am a huge fan of the cheetah print - but definitely not in a overkill manner like some reality t.v. stars from a certain "state" have displayed to the public) - cheetah, zebra, giraffe, the list can go on, stripes - channel the whole "nautical , jean paul gaultier, Parisian chic" vibe, polka dots - are soooo fun, or any other print you can imagine.Whatever you choose will make a statement wherever you go , but please keep in mind that if the dress is in a bold print - the hair, make-up and accessories should compliment the dress. I would suggest solid color shoes and handbag - wouldn't want to end up looking like fashion overkill. With that said, for your next party , go with prints!!!

Mally Beauty 7-Piece Secrets Collection Giveaway !!!

7-Piece Secrets Collection
In case you've missed it , Celebrity makeup artist and Mally Beauty founder Mally Roncal (http://www.mallybeauty.com/) was the force behind the flawless tsunami watch weather-proof ( there was tsunami warning looming on the West Coast) make up for the blushing bride Molly Malaney. She flew to Los Angeles this past weekend to assist in the nuptials between ABC's Bachelor couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, The Bachelor wedding aired just this past Monday, March 8th on ABC, and Mally worked to develop Molly’s wedding day makeup look and also produce a style for each of her bridesmaids.
“I design high performance products that can stand up to any element from camera lights to a 12-hour work day or even torrential downpour,” said Mally. When a deluge of rain passed through during the ceremony, Mally and her team waited behind the scenes for touch-ups. As Molly and the bridesmaids arrived safely indoors, they were blown away when they realized their makeup didn’t budge – a true testament to Mally’s brand. I personally use the Mally Brand myself, and it really does what it is supposed to , and I love the mini instuctions included with some of the items - perfect for the makeup novice.
To create Molly’s look, Mally used the products below from the Mally Beauty collection.

Dress Shopping Online

Online shopping has it's perks. The option of not leaving your bedroom, no long lines to wait on, or annoying sales people that have no clue as to what they are even talking about. The best perk of all is the opportunity to browse through millions of accessories, shoes, handbags, electronic, and dresses online. My favorite item to shop online for are dresses , the feeling of exclusivity when a dress is purchased online rather than in a store - is what I love. The assurance that NO ONE else will show up to your function in the same dress as you ( have you ever purchased an item from H&M ??? - then you know EXACTLY what I am talking about in terms of "twins" moments). I love short sleeve dresses, jewel embellished dresses, tunics - love pairing them with boots and leggings , the list is through the roof. My favorite look for the upcoming Spring season is short sleeve dresses like the Brocade Fabric Dress ( pictured at the very top) its the perfect transition from the cold winter months , yet the delicate shade of pink screams spring. Another favorite look of mines is ruffles of any kind - and I love this ruffle trimmed dress pictured above as well. So when looking for a unique dress , shopping online is your best bet!
